This is the scene earlier today in the frozen NW. Tree limbs are cracking and breaking off, sending schockwaves of snow as they impact the earth with such force as to close down an entire city. No, but seriously, this is quite the storm. The news peeps kept predicting and predicting this ginormous storm front and we kept naysaying the smug bastards. They were right. It is here, depending on which news station you watch, it is either "Arctic Blast 2008" or "Deep Freeze 2008". We got 8-10" of snow yesterday stopping around 6pm last night, then the freezing rain started...nice. I've not seen that before. What fun. The 8-10" of snow is now covered in 1/4-1/2" layer of ice. The video shows a little bit of that. Now it is dumping snow again, the smug bastards are saying another 4" of snow expected on top of the ice sheet. Don't think that we are going anywhere tomorrow. Yay snow storms in the Pacific NW!!

Looks like so much fun! Y'all be careful now.
FerFer, if you go to my profile, there is a blog for Mom and Brian's trip, but she hasn't posted anything. When I hear from Brian I update it. I will help her put up the pictures later. Sigh. I tried.
